Is the first Memorial to all women sentenced to transportation as convicts to Australia (1788-1853). 25,566 cloth bonnets (taken from an 1860s servants bonnet) symbolises the women whose lives have been shrouded by a veil of amnesia for far too long.
INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY 8th March 2012: CHRISTINA HENRI at The Irish Club of WA at 7.45pm

As part of International Women’s Day celebrations artist Christina Henri - who has conceived Roses from the Heart(R) -  will be a special guest at the Irish Club of WA, 61 Townsend Road, Subiaco, WA.
Members of the public are invited to arrive by 6.00pm to eat and then attend the concert that begins at 7.45. Light supper will be provided at the end of the concert. Tickets to the concert are $20 or for $30 you can have a pie - choice of filling - and a pint or glass of wine and be part of Christina Henri’s presentation.
Christina will be appearing with musicians featured on the Roses from the Heart CD and music from the CD will be performed during the concert.

Running concurrently is a Roses from the Heart(R) bonnet display
at the Subiaco Library, City of Subiaco, 237 Rokeby Road, Subiaco, WA.
The display will last from the 20 February to the 19 March, 2012. Entry FREE.
